Music for Puerto Rico Benefit Concert

I was invited to perform on the Music for Puerto Rico benefit concert at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Baltimore. I decided to present a set of music by Puerto Rican composers. Juan Tizol was an obvious choice, but there were many other candidates as well. I settled on a “non-jazz” traditional piece by Rafael Marín, Lamento Borincano. I arranged the piece for two horns and rhythm section and it came out pretty nicely. Many thanks
